Background
I am a UKCP registered Psychotherapist and a BACP Senior Counselling Practitioner. I have been a practicing therapist since 1989. I have a long established practice in Brixton, South London.
I facilitate Family Constellation workshops at the Awareness Centre in Clapham. I also work as a Clinical Supervisor, a Trainer, and as a Consultant and Coach.
I initially trained in Gestalt Psychotherapy at the Pellin Institute and then Metanoia, and received an MSc in Gestalt Psychotherapy from Middlesex University. My theoretical orientation now combines gestalt with the systemic approach, and draws upon psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural and other humanistic approaches. I studied the systemic approach of Family Constellations (an approach that explores our interconnections with our wider systems, family, culture, community etc) with Hellinger Institute of Britain and the ‘nowhere foundation’.
My first career was as a teacher in Sudan and then Turks and Caicos Islands. I subsequently worked for several years in social care, working with the homeless and substance misusers. I worked for NACRO, Stonham and Turning Point amongst others.
I am a faculty teaching member and a partner in the Centre for Systemic Constellations, and an associate in Moving Constellations.
