I am a UKCP registered Psychotherapist and a BACP Senior Counselling Practitioner. I have been a practicing therapist since 1990. I have an established practice in South London (over 14 years), currently seeing clients in Brixton and Peckham. I facilitate Family Constellation workshops at the Awareness Centre in Clapham. I also work as a Clinical Supervisor, Trainer, and Systemic Coach. I trained in gestalt psychotherapy at the Pellin Institute and then Metanoia, and received an MSc in Gestalt Psychotherapy from Middlesex University. My theoretical orientation now combines gestalt with the systemic approach, and draws upon psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural and other humanistic approaches. I studied the systemic approach of Family Constellations (an approach that explores our interconnections with our wider systems, family, culture, community etc) with Hellinger Institute of Britain and the 'nowherefoundation'. My first career was in social care working with the homeless and substance misusers. I am an associate of the 'nowherefoundation' co-leading a research project into applying systemic approaches to the substance abuse treatment field. I continue my own particular journey of self-exploration through my personal therapy and as a student of the Diamond Approach with the Ridhwan School UK. |
